1955-S Lincoln Penny MS67
It's time to rethink the way you look at pennies because this 1955-S Lincoln Cent is a true American classic that needs to be part of any well rounded coin collection. This shiny penny is the last of the wheat ears reverse design from the San Francisco mint. The design was replaced in 1959 with the current Lincoln Memorial obverse, but no Lincoln pennies were struck at San Francisco from 1956 to 1968. Even rarer, the coin is the lowest mintage of Lincoln cent since 1939. It features a very desirable red copper appearance. Most pennies are brown or red-brown, but this MS67 specimen has maintained the pristine red color from the day it was struck.
